Day 1 — Cagliari

On arrival transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 — Cagliari › Nora › Cagliari

Drive to the salt marshes, home to the Sardinian flamingos – an incredible natural show not to be missed. Continue to the archaeological site of Nora to explore the Roman ruins and Spanish Tower. Stop for a swim at one of the island’s most beautiful beaches before returning to your hotel.

Day 3 — Cagliari › Barumini › Cagliari

Visit the archaeological site of Su Nuraxi in Barumini, a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to a 3,500 year old nuraghe (stone tower). Transfer back to Cagliari and enjoy time at leisure before a guided tour of Castello, Cagliari’s city centre with historic churches and monuments.

Day 4 — Cagliari › Bosa › Alghero

Today you will be driven to Bosa to explore this colourful village famous for its handicraft traditions including textiles, embroidery and woven baskets. Then on to the historic coastal city of Alghero, famous for its Catalan heritage.

Day 5 — Alghero

Walking tour of Alghero this morning. Restaurants and bars line the walkway, providing the perfect perch to sit back and soak up the atmosphere. Visit a flagship winery this afternoon to taste famous Sardinian Cannonau red wines.

Day 6 — Alghero › Castelsardo › Palau

Drive to Castelsardo, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The old town, perched on a hill beside the sea, has preserved its medieval fortress structure, with soaring bastions, steep stairways and a maze of narrow streets and alleys. Then on to Santa Teresa di Gallura, driving along that wonderful coast we will have also time to stop and relax on the best beaches. Then you will reach the village of Palau, located in one of the most scenic ramifications of the north-eastern coast of Sardinia.

Day 7 — Palau › La Maddalena Island › Palau

Enjoy a private boat trip to La Maddalena Island, a true hidden treasure where you will discover some spectacular beaches. You will have time at leisure to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or one of the beautiful beaches before returning to Palau.

Day 8 — Palau › Porto Cervo, Emerald Coast › Olbia

After breakfast transfer to Olbia airport with a short stop en route at the village of Porto Cervo, considered to be the pearl of the Emerald Coast.
