Day 1 — Ljubljana

On arrival in Ljubljana, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 — Ljubljana › Postojna › Istrian peninsula

This morning, meet your guide and enjoy a walking tour of some of the most significant sights of the old city centre, such as the picturesque Central open-air market and the Three Bridges, both designed by famous architect Joze Plecnik, as well as the Baroque Town Hall and Robba’s Fountain.

In the afternoon you will continue to Postojna Cave, the most visited cave in Europe and one of the largest Karst landmarks in the world. After the cave tour you will cross the border to Croatia and head to the charming hotel situated in the inland of the green Croatian peninsula. Enjoy dinner at hotel restaurant and overnight.

Day 3 — Istrian peninsula

The Istrian peninsula is home to black and white truffles. Start your day by visiting a local family who has a long tradition in truffles hunting. We will take part to a truffle hunting experience and have a tasting of delicious products with truffles.

We will then continue to the town of Buzet, a hilltop village that lies in the very heart of the northern part of Croatian Istria on a 150m high hill overlooking the Mirna River Valley. In Buzet you will visit Aura distillery where they make traditional products such as brandies, jams and other goodies made of wild herbs and wild fruits picked in an ecologically clean environment on the slopes of the Ćićarija Mountain far from roads and inhabited settlements. In the afternoon we will make a stop in the town of Motovun. Motovun is situated on the top of the hill, above river Mirna, and surrounded by forests are full of hidden treasure: black and white truffles.

Day 4 — Croatian Istria › Rovinj › Vipava Valley

A short drive will take us to the picturesque town of Rovinj. Once a small fishing village today is one of the most picturesque locations in the Istrian peninsula that attracts artist from various parts of the world. Enjoy time at leisure to stroll along the narrowed streets, take a look in one of the numerous galleries or just relax in one of the numerous cafes or restaurants. In the afternoon you will travel back to Slovenia into Vipava Valley, where we will have a great wine tasting and overnight at local homestead.

Day 5 — Vipava Valley › Soca Valley › Bled

After an early morning departure you will drive upstream through Soča Valley that will offer you many opportunities to admire the emerald-green river. You have the option to choose between two activities: Walk in Tolmin Gorge or visit the WWI Museum in Kobarid. Later you will continue your drive via Bovec town, passing the historic mountain pass Vršič (1611m) to the beautiful Bled Lake situated in the middle of the Julian Alps.

Day 6 — Bled › Bohinj Lake › Bled

This morning is dedicated to the fairytale sights of Bled. Visit Bled Castle, one of the oldest in Slovenia, perched on a cliff high above the lake. In the afternoon, visit Bohinj Lake. In the Upper Valley by the lake, see the gothic St John the Baptist Church, which has well-preserved frescoes from the 15th and 16th century. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Next you may choose from the following activities available (guide throughout): Hike to Savica waterfall or cable car ride to Mt. Vogel. Return to Bled for overnight.

Day 7 — Bled › Ljubljana

You will be privately transferred to the airport in Ljubljana to meet your onward flight where arrangements conclude.
