What Seabourn is Like Onboard
Seabourn is a True Luxury cruise line (think 6 star) and as a point of difference offers a less formal onboard environment than its contemporaries. Seabourn frame this as "Country Club Casual" which appeals to many of Fine Travel’s New Zealand cruise clients (dress jeans are ok for example). Although they do not have butlers, the True Luxury experience is maintained through Suite Hosts and Suite Attendants.
Seabourn's non-expedition ships offer a small ship, yacht like experience. For popular destinations like the Mediterranean and Alaska the Seabourn itineraries can access more remote and less busy ports. Although the ships are framed as small, there are still multiple restaurants onboard and the suites area known to generally be larger.
Luxury Expedition Ships
We are finding that Seabourn's Expedition Ships (Pursuit and Venture) are appealing to guests who want a more active luxury expedition experience. These ships, and Seabourn's approach, still fit within the "soft expedition" category, but the feedback we receive about the design of the shore excursions and activities available sets it apart from its competitors.
Fine Travel's Seabourn Experience
Fine Travel has over 20 years' experience booking Seabourn cruises. When Seabourn ships are in port in New Zealand we conduct onboard inspections, such as the one covered in this review of Seabourn Encore. Explore Seabourn’s voyages through our comprehensive Cruise Search Engine, where you can explore prices, suite images, ship images, and deck plans.
Exclusive Business Class Discounts
When you book your Seabourn cruise through Fine Travel, we may also be able to offer "Personalised Wholesale Business Class Airfares" in addition to the published Business Class airfares we have access to with all major airlines (Premium Economy and Economy airfares may also be available). These airfares are generally available with:
- Emirates

- Malaysia Airlines
Each airline has specific rules around the minimum cruise deposit and minimum total cruise spend that must be met in order to access these airfares. The airfares are subject to availability on your preferred travel dates and may not be available on all routes on an airline's network.

We'll also send you this gift if you rebook your next Seabourn cruise onboard and assign the booking to us as your preferred travel agent.

Why Seabourn and Fine Travel
Commitment to Knowing Guests
Seabourn has one of the highest return-guest ratios, which speaks volumes about the connection it makes with its guests.
During our onboard review of Seabourn Encore, our hosts shared that the crew invest the time to learn the names of up to 80 guests before each voyage.
This commitment to the guest experience is also reinforced by the policy that tips are neither required nor expected, underlining the genuine nature of the service quality onboard.
Subtle Luxury
Soft Expedition to World Cruises
Why Fine Travel
Seabourn World Cruises and Grand Voyages
A world cruise or grand voyage is a special and memorable way to see the world. Just unpack once and settle into your suite, and let the destinations and shore experiences come to you.
Whether it’s to celebrate a special birthday, business sale, retirement, or it's simply just time to get out and explore, Seabourn's world cruises and grand voyages are an ideal way to mark any occasion.
Such a large commitment of time means that it’s important that Seabourn's onboard atmosphere and approach to customer service is in line with your expectations (a balance of informal luxury). With many inclusions (such as meals and beverages), and the Seabourn Ventures programme offering enhanced shore excursions, a Seabourn world cruise or grand voyage deserves careful consideration.
