With an attractive price point, the option of a free 5 star stopover in Abu Dhabi and a reputation for luxury, Etihad Airways Business Class is popular with Fine Travel clients looking for discounted Business Class airfares to the UK and Europe. The announcement of additional flights between Abu Dhabi and to London should improve connection times over Abu Dhabi.
From New Zealand, Business Class passengers fly with either Air New Zealand or Virgin Australia across the Tasman to connect with Etihad Airways flights from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane (and the same on the return flight) to Abu Dhabi and then on to the UK / Europe. Although this trans-Tasman flight adds additional time to the overall itinerary, the price point, access to Business Class lounges in Australia and overall quality of the Etihad experience overcame any concerns.

Etihad Airways will introduce a next-generation, two-class Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on one of its four daily London services. The aircraft is configured with 28 Business Studios and 271 Economy Smart Seats. This complements the three other services which are operated by Etihad’s 486-seat Airbus A380s, which feature The Residence, a luxurious three-room cabin, nine private First Apartments, 70 Business Studios and 405 Economy Smart Seats.
In addition to the four daily flights into the UK capital, Etihad Airways also operates two daily Boeing 787 Dreamliner services between Abu Dhabi and Manchester.
For Fine Travel clients looking for discounted Business Class airfares to London, this was a welcome announcement.
